What To Do In Case Of Emergency

When you receive a suspicious letter or a package:

  • don’t open any packages;

  • don’t shake it, don’t throw it around, don’t smell it,

  • cover it or put it in a plastic bag,

  • wash your hands with a soap water,

  • call the police

 

 In most cases your information regarding an unopened letter or a package will help the police to advise you what to do. If the package does not meet the proper criteria, the police may advise you to get rid of it, if you are too afraid to open it.

The Fire Department is waiting for any information regarding the dangerous substances in order to evaluate it and to arrange for a proper disposal. However in case of any doubts you should call the number 997, 998 or 112 ( if you are using the mobile phone).
