Terrorism is a wide term to describe the use of force or violence directly towards another person or the propriety, in order to intimidate, to extract something or for ransom. Very often the terrorists make threats to achieve fear within the society and to convince the people, that the government is not able to prevail terror. The consequences of terrorism might include a number of victims, damaged buildings, the problems with the delivery such basics services as: electricity, water, public transport, phone service and the health care.

You can prepare yourself for the terrorist attack by applying the same solutions that are used during other types of crises, therefore you should:
- be cautious and aware of the situation around you. The main characteristic of terrorism is to act unexpectedly;
- while travelling you should be extra careful. Pay attention to any signs of unusual behaviour. Don’t take any packages from the strangers. Don’t leave your luggage unattended;
- remember the location of an emergency exit. Think ahead, where is an escape path from the building, subway or crowded places. Remember the location of the staircases;
- remember the elements of your near surrounding. Pay attention to any hard, heavy objects, that can be displaced, thrown away or destroyed during the explosion.
