Counterterrorism on the Internet
The Internet portal antyterroryzm.gov.pl has been launched. The initiators of the website are the Internal security Agency and Ministry of Interior and Administration. The website was created on the basis of recommendations made on the forum of the standing expert group working within the Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats.
The website offers guides and guidelines for residents on how to behave in case of a terrorist threat. It is also possible to check the current level of terrorist threat. The portal includes legal acts and national publications on counteracting terrorist attacks. There is also a description of the counterterrorist system of Poland and international cooperation in this respect.
The materials published on the antyterroryzm.gov.pl website are drawn up by the services and institutions participating in the Interministerial Team for Terrorist Threats.
The Team is chaired by the Minister of Interior and Administration. Also the following persons are involved in the activities of the team: Ministers of Finance, National Defence, Foreign Affairs, Justice, the Secretary of the Committee for Special Services, the head of the Internal Security Agency, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency, Director of the Government Security Centre, Head of Government Protection Bureau, Head of the National Police, Head of the State Fire Service, Chief of general staff of the Polish Armed Forces, Chief of the Military Intelligence Service, Chief of the Military Counterintelligence Service, Chief of the Military Police, General Inspector of Fiscal Control, General Inspector of Financial Information, Chief of the Customs Service, Chief of National Civil Defence, Head of the National Security Bureau.
