Language courses for police officers, trainings for officers working with football fans, reconstruction of border checkpoints are only a few of all actions taken by the services supervised by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration before EURO 2012. The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Adam Rapacki, was one of the participants of the meeting of a special team for the provision of security during the Championships

Apart from language courses and trainings for, the so called spotters, i.e. police officers working with football fans, the Police is implementing a programme based on a 3xT principle (i.e. Troska, Tolerancja, Tłumienie, which means Care, Tolerance and Suppression). These actions are going to be taken by police officers during EURO 2012 in order to provide highest security to fans and participants, at the same time creating a friendly atmosphere of a sports festival.

The Border Guard will be responsible, among other things, for the temporary restoration of border control. The reconstruction of border checkpoints in Eastern Poland, so that as many football fans, guests and participants of the Championships as possible are able to cross the border easily is also a significant undertaking.

Moreover, the State Fire Service is engaged in the preparations of EURO 2012 by improving the National Firefighting and Rescue Unit.

Drawing elimination groups for the UEFA EURO 2012 that took place on 5-6 February this year in Warsaw proved the operation of service and entities responsible for security effective.

The meeting of the team was held on 10 February 2010 in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. The participants of the meeting included representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Police, Border Guard, State Fire Service, Government Protection Bureau, Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Internal Security Agency and the company PL.2012.

On 18 January 2008 a team for coordination of actions taken by services supervised by the Minister of the Interior and Administration was appointed by the Minister of the Interior and Administration for the purposes of the organization of the European Football Championships.

The team is responsible, among other things, for the development of the strategy and coordination of actions taken by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in connection with EURO 2012. These actions concern security and public order, readiness to perform rescue duties and crisis management. The team consists of thematic work groups, which draw up conceptual and analytical documents.

Similar teams were also established in the services supervised by the Minister of the Interior and Administration.
